Dublin2Dingle Challenge

On Tuesday 3rd July Mark Bermingham undertook a challenge of a lifetime, Kayaking, Cycling and Walking from Dublin to Dingle in just seven days. Why? To raise money to help the Friends of St Luke’s in Dublin after Mark's father passed away from cancer.

The Challenge
Starting at 07.30 at the entrance to the Grand Canal in Ringsend he cycled 17.5km to Portobello Harbour where he started kayaking and covered 130km in three days, finishing at Shannon Harbour. Then it was on the bike for a 219km cycle to Fossa Caravan and Camping Park in Killarney. Finally the last leg of the journey was walking 96km over Carrantouhill and along the bay to finally reach his destination Dingle on Monday 9th July at 6pm. Approximately 462km was covered in 7 days!
